This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information about you when you use our mobile application ("App") and related services (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you disagree with this policy, please do not use our Services.

2. Information We Collect

• Account Data: Name, email address, and password. This is required for account authentication and to save quest progress across devices.
• Precise Location Data: We collect precise geolocation data via your device's GPS. This is a core requirement to verify your arrival at quest locations and award points and keys. This data is collected only while the app is in use (Foreground), unless you explicitly grant background permissions.
• Payment Data: Financial transactions are handled via Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers; only tokens provided by the processor are stored to confirm payment status.
• User Content: Photos or videos uploaded are voluntary and are stored on our secure servers when added.
• Device Identifiers: We collect device IDs to prevent fraud and manage quest integrity.

3. Third-Party Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data with third parties only to the extent necessary to operate the app:

• Infrastructure Providers: Supabase provides hosting and cloud storage, and it uses AWS.
• Payment Processors: To facilitate secure entry fees and rewards.
• Analytics: We use anonymized usage data to improve app performance.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

In compliance with Apple's requirements, we provide users with the right to delete their accounts and all associated data.

• Retention: We retain your data only as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Services.
• Deletion Mechanism: You may delete your account at any time. To do so, go to Profile > Account > Delete Account within the App. Upon deletion, all personal data (email, name, location history, and user content) will be permanently purged from our databases within 30 days.

5. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data based on:

• Contractual Necessity: To provide the quest services you signed up for.
• Consent: For precise location tracking and marketing communications, which you can revoke at any time.

6. Children's Privacy

Off Road Treasure Quest is not intended for children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we discover that such data has been collected, it will be deleted immediately.

7. User Controls and Revoking Consent

• Location Services: You can revoke location access at any time via iOS and Android at Settings > Privacy > Location Services.
• Account Access: You can edit your profile information directly in the App.
